Aggarwal’s new ex Post There are three photos, the first of which is of the company’s self-made removable/portable EV battery. Let us tell you that Bengaluru based EV manufacturing startup had filed a patent for this in India in the beginning of July this year. Removable battery packs are becoming increasingly popular in the market as they eliminate the need for large charging networks. It is not yet clear whether the upcoming battery will be used as a swappable unit or not. Like the patent photos leaked earlier this year, the portable battery pack has a rectangular box with a grab handle on top. Ola Electric has not yet revealed anything about the specifications of this battery.

Ola Electric’s new two-wheeler

Latest and Breaking News on NDTV

The new announcement from Ola will feature a new electric two-wheeler which is not a scooter with a typical underbone design. Some glimpses of it have been seen from the photo, which include a vertically oriented LED headlight setup, fixed grab rails at the front that extend beyond the red colored frame and footpegs for the rider. There is a possibility that this upcoming scooter will be Ola’s first EV for the B2B space, which the company has been considering for a long time. This is confirmed by the third photo of the post, in which a large luggage rack is seen installed at the rear. Apart from this, Ola Electric had also filed a patent for a similar-looking electric two-wheeler about a year ago.

Agarwal’s post also confirms that Ola’s removable battery technology will make its debut with this product which is best for B2B use. The battery is, as usual, under the seat. Although Ola has not provided any other information, the photo shows that the scooter will be equipped with a hub-mounted motor. It has twin rear shock absorbers and a rear mudguard. The upcoming electric two-wheeler will have a basic design with a simple headlight, large wheels and drum brakes. It will be provided with a wide floorboard which will allow the luggage to be placed between the rider’s legs.
