Zhou Yibao, product manager of Oppo’s Find series, in one of his Post The wireless charging capability available in foldable phones has been teased. He has shared a video from inside a car, in which the phone is being charged on the charging pad of the car. He further revealed in the post that in-car wireless charging systems from BYD, NIO and other popular EV brands will also support Oppo’s fast charging technology.
The company claims that it has managed to provide fast wireless charging by reducing the density of the charging coil, allowing this feature to be included despite a thinner-than-usual foldable design.
Recently, in another video, Yibao had teased the underwater capability of the phone. This phone will come with IPX6, IPX8 and IPX9 ratings. The video shows the phone being used underwater, where photos were clicked and recorded. This means that underwater photography can be done with this phone also like Reno 13 smartphones.
The hinge of Oppo Find N5 is made from 3D titanium alloy. This helps in keeping the weight of the phone less and also makes it more durable. It is also said that at the time of its launch, Oppo Find N5 will be the thinnest foldable phone ever. Its thickness will be 9.2mm and when unfolded, it will be only 4mm thick on each side, which will make it thinner than the iPhone 16 Pro. Zhou Yibao has also said that the upcoming Oppo smartphone will weigh 230 grams. It will be 9 grams lighter than Find N3.
