He also told that Sharmila Tagore gets whitewashing done instead of painting because it is less expensive. Not only this, nothing new has come to Pataudi Palace for many years because the architecture and carvings here are very beautiful.
Why Soha could not become a princess
Talking about the history of Pataudi Palace, she said that her grandmother was the Begum of Bhopal and grandfather was Nawab Pataudi. Saif Ali Khan was born in 1970 and he was made the prince. I was born in 1978, but by then the Royal Tigers were over, so she did not become a princess.
Why was Pataudi Palace built
Soha Ali Khan told that her grandmother and grandfather were not getting married. In such a situation, Soha’s grandfather built Pataudi Palace to impress his father-in-law. She said that her grandmother’s father was jealous of her grandfather because he was a good sportsman. But, while building Pataudi Palace, he ran out of money, so instead of installing marble on the floor, a lot of cement work was done and carpets were laid on top.
