According to the news published in News18 English, a report has claimed that the Censor Board has decided to remove this ad of Akshay Kumar. For the last 6 years, this anti-smoking advertisement was being shown in theaters at the beginning of every film. However, it is not yet clear why CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification) has taken this decision, but according to reports, they are going to replace this ad with a new ad soon.

A report in Bollywood Hungama has claimed that the advertisement was also missing from Rajkummar Rao and Trupti Dimri’s film ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’. The decision to remove the ad was taken last month, and a new ad – which shows the positive effects of quitting tobacco – is being run in its place, the report said.

A multiplex official told the portal that people will miss the advertisement. He says, ‘This was my favorite anti-smoking advertisement because it conveyed an important message without any disturbing visuals. It was also entertaining to see the movie audience repeating the dialogues from the advertisement. After all, he had been watching advertisements for 6 years. Cinema lovers remembered all its lines! I am sure I and many other movie viewers will definitely miss this advertisement.
