Income Tax has recently raided the Hyderabad house of Dil Raju, producer of Ram Charan and Kiara Advani starrer film Game Changer. Along with the producer, his daughter and 8 relatives’ houses were also raided.
According to reports, the Telangana Income Tax Department conducted the raid on charges of tax evasion. The proceedings took place on Tuesday morning at Dil Raju’s house in Hyderabad. Investigation is also being done at his other locations. Dil Raju’s daughter Hansita Reddy and her business partner and producer Sirish, along with 8 relatives are also under investigation.
Along with this, searches are also being conducted at the premises of Maitri Movie Makers, the production company of Pushpa 2: The Rule. Producers of this production house Naveen Yerneni, Yalamanchili Ravi Shankar and CEO Cherry are also under investigation. At present the reason for the raid has not been revealed.
According to department sources in media reports, it is being said that 55 teams have been formed for this operation, which are raiding 8 locations.
Dil Raju has recently produced Ram Charan and Kiara Advani starrer film Game Changer, which has a budget of Rs 450 crore. Apart from this, he is also the producer of Sankritiki Vaastunnam, which released on January 14. The film has already done a business of Rs 100 crore. Dil Raju is also the producer of the upcoming film Thummudu.
Donated Rs 10 lakh to two youths killed in the screening of Game Changer
On December 4, a pre-release event of the film Game Changer was held in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, in which Ram Charan, Pawan Kalyan attended. While returning from this event, two fans of Ram Charan died in a road accident. After getting information about the accident, producers of the film Game Changer, Dil Raju and Ram Charan had announced financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh each to the affected families.
