On June 28, a message came on the WhatsApp of a young man in Khedapa, Jodhpur, Rajasthan regarding the Prime Minister Kisan App. A link was also attached with the message, when the young man clicked on this link, his mobile immediately got hacked. Within a short time, Rs 2 lakh 75 thousand were deducted from the youth’s bank account.
The victim immediately complained about the matter to the cyber cell of Jodhpur Rural Police. The police immediately took action and froze the hackers’ bank accounts and got the money held. After this, the police got Rs 1 lakh 57 thousand 100 refunded to the victim through the court.
Another similar case came to light from Shergarh tehsil area of Jodhpur. Where a message came on the mobile of a young man, in which it was written that ‘Click here to join the Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme of the Central Government.’ As soon as the link was clicked, a suspicious app was downloaded in the mobile. After some time, Rs 41 thousand 200 were withdrawn from the youth’s bank account. The young man immediately informed the police about the matter. The police showed promptness and got Rs 41,200 refunded from the hacker’s bank account on September 12.
In the last few years, incidents of cyber crime have increased rapidly in Rajasthan. According to the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre, cyber fraud worth Rs 165 crore was committed in the last 3 years, in which the police froze Rs 61 crore and returned Rs 9 crore to the victims.

To hack your mobile, hackers first send a link through Facebook, WhatsApp message or e-mail. In this link, they promise huge discounts on any e-commerce site, benefits of government schemes, earning money sitting at home or loans at very low interest. When the user clicks on this link, a fake website opens or is asked to download an app.
These phishing websites or apps are designed in such a way that at first glance it looks absolutely real. Therefore, many times even sensible users get cheated, but these sites are fraudulent and people become victims of it as soon as they enter their details on them.

answer- Fake websites are created by cyber criminals to trap people. These are also called phishing websites. It is very important to check these websites for online security and to protect the phone from hacking. Before registering your details on any website, definitely check some things.

answer- Cybercriminals design fake apps in such a way that they usually look like legitimate applications. While installing, these apps ask for more access permissions than necessary, so that hackers can access the user’s data. Fake apps are developed for many reasons. Such as-
Installing Malware: Through fake apps, scammers install malware in the smartphone, through which they steal the user’s data (password, email, phone number).
Financial Scam: By using fake apps, hackers can access the user’s UPI apps and withdraw money from the bank account.
Identity Theft: Fake apps can steal the user’s identity and blackmail him.
Question- How can we identify fake links sent by hackers?
answer- To identify hacking links, look for keywords like .apk, .exc, .pif, .shs, .vbs at the end of the link. If the link is ending with these keywords then do not click on such links at all. By clicking on this you can become a victim of fraud.
Apart from this, never install apps like AnyDesk, Teamviewer, Airdrop in your phone or laptop through suspicious links. These are remote access apps, as soon as they are installed in the mobile, the control of the entire mobile or laptop goes into the hands of cyber thugs. After this they can keep an eye on your activity. Can steal your data.

answer- Cyber expert Rahul Mishra says that if you have been cyber cheated, then immediately complain about it to the nearest cyber cell police.
Apart from this, lodge a complaint on the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal or 1930. If the complaint is made within 30 minutes, then there is a possibility of refund of the money because the cyber team first freezes the bank accounts of cyber thugs as soon as the complaint is received. If the cyber fraudster has not withdrawn that money from the ATM till then, it can be refunded. By delaying the complaint, there is little hope of getting the money refunded.
