Rajiv Kapoor, the youngest brother of actors Rishi Kapoor and Randhir Kapoor, died at the age of 58. The cause of death was heart attack. Now Rajeev’s close friend actress Khushboo Sundar has recently revealed that the actor had a dirty addiction to alcohol.
Khushboo said- He had heart disease, but alcohol addiction had created more problems. We could not even get him to break this bad habit.

‘Rajeev was ill for a long time’
While talking to Vicky Lalwani, Khushboo said- He (Rajeev) used to be very sad. He also had a problem in his knee, so he got surgery done. But they did not get any benefit from this. We knew that Chimpu (nickname of Rajeev Kumar) was ill. When he died, I was in Mumbai. Boney Kapoor told me about his death. He called me and said – Chimpu is no more. This was a big shock for me.
Khushboo said- I had talked to him just a day before his death.
Khushboo said- I had talked to Chimpu just a day before his death. He had very high fever and this was during Covid. Despite being ill, he was as usual. However, he was taking the illness lightly and promised to meet soon. His death was a shock to me. He was very lively. We still feel that he is with us.

Rajiv’s number is still saved in Khushboo’s phone.
Khushboo also told that she has not deleted Rajiv’s number yet. However, he regrets not keeping in touch with the actor’s family.
About his friendship with Rajiv, he said- He has taught me many things. I only wear white nail paint on my toes because Chimpu once told me it was classy. She told me this in 1983 and to this day, she is the only nail paint I wear. He didn’t like the way I walked, so he taught me to walk wearing heels without making any noise.
