Actor Ranbir Kapoor has confirmed that he is working in Nitesh Tiwari’s film Ramayana. He has finished shooting for the first part and will start shooting for the second part soon.
At the Red Sea Film Festival, Ranbir said- I am currently working on the film Ramayana, which is the greatest story. My childhood friend Namit Malhotra, who is making this book with so much dedication. He has got the best cast and crew. It has been directed by Nitesh Tiwari.
Ranbir will be seen in the role of Lord Ram Ranbir further said- Just to be a part of that story, I am very humbled to play the role of Ram ji. This is a dream for me. This is a film that has everything. It teaches what Indian culture is.

Yash himself had told that he is playing the role of Ravana in the film. Some time ago, Yash had confirmed in an interview to The Hollywood Reporter that he is playing the role of Ravana in the film Ramayana.
He had said, ‘As an actor, it is very exciting for me to play the character of Ravana. I love the nuances of his character.
Casting of Ranbir and Sai was also approved Talking on Ramayana, Yash had further said, ‘To make such a big budget film, you need to bring together such actors.
I was associated with the makers of the film from the very beginning. When I was on a break from films, we were discussing this. For this film, first Ranbir, then me and then Sai Pallavi were cast.
