TV actor Ravi Dubey will be seen in Nitesh Tiwari’s film Ramayana. The actor has made many revelations about his role in the film during an interview. Ravi Dubey will play the role of Laxman in Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi starrer Ramayan. Earlier, casting director Mukesh Chhabra had said that it was difficult to find the right actor to play the character of Laxman. This film will be released in two parts in 2026 and 2027. Nitesh Tiwari’s film Ramayana is in the news even before its release.
Ravi Dubey will play the role of Laxman in the film.
Ravi Dubey shared his experience of working with Ranbir Kapoor during a conversation with Connect Cine. Also, while talking about his character in the film, he said- ‘I am playing the character of Laxman in the film. Finally, I have got permission from the producers to share anything about my character.
Share information after getting permission from the makers
Ravi Dubey further said, ‘I did not talk about this for so long because I did not want to give any statement without the permission of the director and producer of the film. Namit sir and Nitesh sir wanted that no information about the characters of the film should be shared. He further said, ‘Playing the character of Laxman is an honor and responsibility.’
Even Sargun Mehta’s wife did not know the role – Ravi
His wife Sargun Mehta was also present along with Ravi Dubey in this interview. The actor’s wife said- Ravi had not even told me that he was working in Nitesh sir’s film Ramayana, nor had he shared anything about his role. One day when Ravi was leaving home for shooting, I asked him where he was going, he still did not tell me anything, just said that he was going to work.
Ravi will be seen with Ranbir Kapoor for the first time
Ravi Dubey will share the screen with Ranbir Kapoor for the first time. On working with Ranbir Kapoor, the actor said- ‘Working with a megastar like Ranbir Kapoor is a big thing for me. This will be the first time when I will share the screen with him. I have heard praise of Ranbir Kapoor from everyone I have met till date. He is like my elder brother, he is a very good person.
Ranbir will be seen in the role of Lord Ram
In the film Ramayana, Ranbir Kapoor will play the role of Lord Ram and Pallavi will play the role of Sita. Whereas, superstar Yash will be seen in the role of Ravana. This film will be released in two parts, the first part of which will be released on the occasion of Diwali in 2026 and the second part will be released in 2027. If reports are to be believed, it is also being said that Sunny Deol can play the role of Lord Hanuman in this film. However, till now the actor or makers have not given any information on this.
