The highest number of 500 notes are in circulation after the 2000 notes are closed. This is the reason why fraudsters print most of 500 fake notes.
However, every note has some features through which you can easily identify the real and fake notes. For this, the notes can check the guidelines given by watermarks, security threads, microllating and RBI.

- The size of the real 500 rupee note is 66mmx150 mm.
- In the note, the words ‘India’ and ‘India’ are written in micro letters.

- In the note, the symbol of Ashoka Pillar is on the right.
- The logo and slogan of ‘Swachh Bharat’ are printed on every real note.

- First download the Chkfake app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
- After this, create your account in the app or login as a guest user.
- Click on ‘Currency’ or ‘Note’ from the options given in the app.
- Choose the currency of the country you want to check.
- Select (INR) for Indian rupees (INR).
- After this, take a clear photo of that note with your phone camera.
- The app will scan things like watermark, serial number, security thread of that note.
- After scanning, the app will tell whether your note is real or fake.
Question- Can there be an FIR against you if you get fake notes? answer- According to RBI’s instructions, if you have 1 to 4 fake notes inadvertently and you immediately inform the bank or police, no case will be registered against you.
While a person gets 5 or more fake notes, the bank officials will immediately inform the police. After this, an FIR will be investigated and investigated.
