Mumbai. Durgesh Kumar, who gained popularity by playing the character of Banarakas in the web series ‘Panchayat’, often narrates his life experiences and struggles. He has been working in the film industry for many years, but he did not get the recognition that he got from both seasons of Panchayat. After spending almost 10 years in the film industry, he not only got fame but is also earning a lot of money. He also recently bought a new house. One of his interviews is going viral, in which he is telling that the director of the 2017 film ‘Bahan Hogi Teri’ gave him a cheque but refused to deposit it in the bank.
Durgesh Kumar said in an interview to Bollywood Thikana, “I did a film called ‘Bahan Hogi Teri’. People say it earned 100 crores, 500 crores. I respect it. The producer of this film went bankrupt. There were many big actors in it. I will not take anyone’s name. My fixed amount was 12 thousand rupees. I gave a cheque. The producer said, Durgesh ji, don’t invest it, the company will collapse.”
Durgesh Kumar said, “I have seen so much. I love this industry a lot. We have seen stars like Amitabh Bachchan. I want to tell the new artists that working is not that easy. It is not that easy to withdraw money. That cheque of Rs. 12,000 is still lying in my house. That company has shut down.”
Let us tell you, Shruti Haasan and Rajkumar Rao were in the lead roles in ‘Bahan Hogi Teri’. Durgesh Kumar said without naming anyone, “There is a man in it, who is a very sensible actor, a National Award winner. What advice is he giving me – you are speaking dialogues by rote.’ Hey, how does one speak dialogues brother! First I will memorize them, only then I will speak. I will not say the name. Watch the scene. My voice has been dubbed.”
