Chinese tech company Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi has launched Redmi A4 5G smartphone in India on Wednesday (November 20). This is the world’s first 5G smartphone with Snapdragon 4S Gen 2 chipset. This Qualcomm processor is built on 4nanometer fabrications, which includes two 2GHz Cortex-A78 cores and six 1.8GHz Cortex-A55 cores.

Redmi A4 5G has a 50MP AI camera. It has been launched with 4GB RAM and two storage variants. This includes 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variants.

Redmi A4 5G has been launched at a starting price of Rs 10,999, but as part of the launching offer, a discount of Rs 2,500 is being given on it. Its sale will be started from 27th November.

The phone was first introduced at the India Mobile Congress-2024 event held in Delhi last month. It comes with two color options. This includes Starry Black and Sparkle Purple color options.
