Talking about the subscriber base of Reliance Jio, TRAI’s September figures say that the company currently has more than 46.37 crore subscribers. The number of Jio’s 5G users is 148 million, which is 34 percent of its wireless data traffic. According to the report, Sunil Dutt, President of the company’s devices department, has said that they are working very closely with their partner brands and device manufacturers. This also includes innovation and manufacturing of 5G smartphones.

The company has especially emphasized that it is working with Qualcomm to make cheap 5G so that 5G devices can be made more affordable for users. Brands like Xiaomi, Motorola are also launching cheap 5G phones in the market, but Jio’s aim seems to be to bring even cheaper devices in the market.
