Mumbai. Choreographer and director Remo D’Souza has been seen judging many reality shows. Remo is one of the most popular and loved celebrities in the industry, he has given many people a chance to make a career in the world of dancing and acting. But for some time now he and his wife Lilez D’Souza have been surrounded by controversies. Recently, Remo and his wife have been accused of defrauding a dance troupe of Rs 11.96 crore. On this, Remo and Liesel gave clarification and issued a joint statement.
According to PTE report, a 26-year-old dancer has filed a case against Remo, his wife and 5 others in Thane district. An FIR was also lodged at Mira Road police station alleging fraud and forgery. Now Remo and Liesel have reacted to these allegations. The couple said in a joint statement on Instagram that they would present their case at the appropriate time.
Remo and Lizelle D’Souza said in the statement, “It has come to our notice through media reports that some complaints have been filed in relation to a dance troupe alleging fraud. It is disappointing that such information has been published. We would like to request everyone to avoid spreading rumors before ascertaining the true facts.”

Remo and Lizelle D’Souza further said, “We will pursue our case at the appropriate time and will continue to cooperate with the authorities in every possible way as we have done so far. We would like to thank our family, friends and fans for their love and continued support. Always love. Liesel and Remo.”

According to PTI report, in her complaint, the 26-year-old dancer has accused Remo D’Souza, his wife Liezel, Omprakash Shankar Chauhan, Rohit Jadhav, Frame Production Company, Vinod Raut, a policeman and Ramesh Gupta. The dancer alleged that she and her teammates performed in a TV show and won it, however, the accused (Remo, Liezel and others) embezzled the prize money of Rs 11.96 crore by posing as the owners of the teammates. According to the complainant, he was defrauded between 2018 and July 2024.
