Rocket launched by mistake in China fell in a hilly area watch video

China accidental rocket launch: Usually a lot of caution is exercised regarding space missions, but an incident that has come to light from China has raised concerns. A rocket in China was ‘accidentally’ launched while the rocket was being tested. It separated from the launch pad, flew into the sky and after some time crashed in a nearby hill town. In the initial investigation, there is no news of any casualty in this case. It is worth noting that a few days ago, the booster of a Chinese rocket fell in a populated area.

According to reports, Beijing Tianbing Technology Company said on Sunday that the first stage of the Tianlong-3 rocket it is developing broke away from its launch pad during testing due to a structural failure and fell into a mountainous area in Gongyi city in central China. The company said on Chinese social media platform Weibo that after initial investigations, no casualties have been reported.

Videos posted by several residents of Gongyi city in Central China’s Henan Province showed a rocket emitting black smoke during its flight before falling into the mountain and catching fire. Gongyi’s emergency management bureau said in a statement that parts of the rocket stage shattered in a “safe area” but caused a fire in the crash area. The bureau says the fire has been extinguished and no one was harmed.

The two-stage Tianlong-3 (‘Sky Dragon 3’) rocket is a partially reusable rocket being developed by a private company. According to NDTV, rocket debris falling into China after launch is not new, but it is very rare for a part of a rocket under development to fly away from its launch site.

The company says that the first stage of Tianlong-3 was normal during its hot test, but later due to structural failure it separated from the launch pad and fell in a hilly area one and a half kilometers away from there. Tianlong-3 is being compared to SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket.
