Royal Enfield has revealed its first electric bike, Himalayan Electric 2.0, at the ongoing automotive show EICMA 2024 in Milan, Italy. The new prototype model is the second edition of the Himalayan Electric, which was showcased at EICMA-2023. There are many changes between the previous and new concept models. Apart from this, the company has also introduced Flying Flea C6 electric bike.
Design: Adventure style with LED lighting setup The new prototype retains the adventure styling of the Royal Enfield Himalayan, but its battery and motor have been improved. It is being said that at least two more prototype models will be introduced before the production model arrives.
The new model is inspired by the design of the existing Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. Below there is a long windscreen, below which is a round LED headlight. In place of the fuel tank, there is a steel frame, which looks like the Himalayan 450.
A large battery pack and a mid-mounted motor are provided under the flat seat. The tank brace for the jerrycan and other accessories has been redesigned and the new model is finished in white as opposed to last year’s red color.
The bike has been given new battery and motor The USD front forks of the electric bike are made in gold shade. It also has round ORVMs, high seat, high ground clearance and clear tail section. The latest bike has an electronic suspension setup, single disc brake at both ends, new swingarm, gold color wire-spoke rims and a new digital interface. According to the company, the battery and motor of this concept are completely new. Right now it is in the testing and development phase and it will take a few years to launch.
