Mumbai. Police has caught the accused who attacked Saif Ali Khan with a knife. Investigation revealed that he was a Bangladeshi citizen and had entered Saif’s house with the intention of stealing. Police are investigating the matter further. Presented the accused in Bandra Court and demanded 14 days police custody for the accused. But the court has given police custody for 5 days. According to PTI, a labor contractor helped Mumbai Police in reaching the accused Mohammad Ilyas Shariful Islam Shahzad. An official gave this information on Sunday. The officer said that the Crime Branch and the local police had formed several teams to trace the accused. The accused was absconding for more than two days.

The officer said that during the investigation, the police came to know that the accused was seen outside Dadar Railway Station thrice and he had also gone to Worli Koliwada. He said that the police examined hundreds of CCTV footage and found that the attacker had gone to a labor contractor in the area.

He said that the labor contractor gave all the information about the attacker to the police and based on his information, the police traced him to a labor camp located in a forest area of ​​Thane. The officer said that the accused had previously worked in a hotel in Thane and till now he has no criminal record.
