Saif Ali Khan is recovering after the attack.

New Delhi. There was a fatal attack on Saif Ali Khan on the late night of January 15, after which the actor was admitted to Lilavati Hospital. After the surgery, he was discharged from the hospital on January 21 and reached his home. In the recent attack, the actor was badly injured and a knife entered his neck, but this is not the first time that Saif Ali Khan was injured so badly. While trying to impress his co-star on the sets of a film released 25 years ago, he risked his life due to which he had to spend several days in the hospital.

Saif Ali Khan had shared this incident on Koffee with Karan from the sets of the 2000 film ‘Kya Kehna’. The actor had said, ‘I practiced jumping from the motorcycle on the ramp every day at Juhu Beach. We went to Khandala to shoot this scene and it was raining and there was mud. Because of this, the land there was not the same as it was during practice.

Gave up my life for the actress
Saif further says, ‘I thought that I would impress her (Preity Zinta). The stunt was fine the first time, but then I tried to do the scene with more enthusiasm the second time, but my bike skidded before landing on the ramp. There was a stone in the field due to which I rolled 30 times and then my head hit the stone. My head started bleeding.

100 stitches required
He had further told, ‘We went to the hospital and after getting stitches, I looked like Frankenstein. Preeti said that we can arrange for a plastic surgeon and arranged everything. He called it the ‘worst accident’ of his life. He told that he had 100 stitches after this accident.

Ex-wife Amrita Singh had gone out of town
Preity Zinta, who was present with Saif Ali Khan in the chat show, had said, ‘I am probably the only girl who knows what is going on in Saif Ali Khan’s mind. His wife Amrita Singh was not in town and his friends were quite rude on the phone because they thought he was joking. The director of the film was ill and had to leave. I had to sign his medical forms and I was scared that he might die.

After this accident, Saif Ali Khan and Preity Zinta became very good friends. Both their film ‘Kya Kehna’ was a hit at the box office and after this they were also seen in the film ‘Salaam Namaste’ in which they were well liked.
