iPhone-16 Pro Max is ₹44,000 more expensive in India than in the US However, compared to other countries, it is still expensive for Indian customers to buy an iPhone. Whereas, the iPhone-16 series models are also being assembled in India. The Pro Max model is about Rs 44 thousand more expensive in India than in the US.

At the same time, there is a difference of about 13 thousand in the iPhone-16 model. In India, the starting price of iPhone-16 is ₹ 79,900 and the price of Pro Max is ₹ 1,44,900. You can buy iPhone 16 cheaply through these methods

  • iPhones in the US and Canada have always been cheaper than in many other countries including India due to the lack of taxes and import duties. If you have a friend or family member living in the US or Canada, you can ask him to buy an iPhone for you from there and bring it to India on his next visit.
  • Similarly, buying iPhone-15 from Dubai will be cheaper. Being a duty-free port, electronic goods are available cheap in Dubai. Apart from this, you can save money by waiting for seasonal discounts. Many electronic goods including iPhone-16 are available at discount on Black Friday in America and Dubai Shopping Festival.
  • Many banks and credit card companies provide discounts on iPhones. You can check their offers. Apart from this, there are many credit card companies that provide cash-back incentives, promotional credits or points that can be used for future purchases. Check this too.
  • Avoid rushing to buy a new iPhone series right after its release. Because the price of the new model drops a few months after its initial release. If you can wait a bit, you can save a decent amount of money on your purchase.

All gadgets including iPhone-16 will be available from today Apart from the iPhone-16 series, the company also introduced the Apple Watch Series 10 at the It’s Glotime event, which has a 30% larger screen area. This is Apple’s thinnest watch ever (9.7mm). Its starting price is Rs 46,900.

Apart from this, new colors of Watch Ultra 2 were also launched. It has been designed for athletes. This watch will run for 72 hours in low power mode. It has the most accurate GPS. Apple launched new colors of AirPods 4 and AirPods Max. All the new gadgets of Apple have become available for sale from today.

Why does iPhone sell more expensive here despite being manufactured in India? Apple phones are being assembled in India since the time of iPhone 15. For assembly, Taiwan’s Foxconn Technology Group has set up a plant in Sriperumbudur near Chennai. Its various parts are imported, on which custom duty is levied.

For example, Samsung makes the iPhone display, on which 20% import duty is levied. Apart from this, import duty and GST is levied on circuit boards, transistors, processors. All this adds up to a higher price of the final product.

On the other hand, the Pro series is not assembled in India. They are being completely imported. The government levies 22% import duty and 2% social welfare surcharge on them. 18% GST is also levied. Due to this, the total tax becomes around 40%.
