Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini starrer The story of this film was written by experienced filmmaker BR Chopra and the dialogue was written by Achala Nagar, but the film’s climax was worked by Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar. Renu recalled that the climax scene, where the book of Amitabh’s character prizes and he reveals about giving everything to his children as a father. He told that it was 11 pages. After reading this, Amitabh asked Ravi for three days and three days later, he shot the scene in the hotel. Amitabh Bachchan told the director to install the cameras as much as he knew that he would not be able to repeat the feelings again and again. So he installed three cameras and started shooting. Renu remembered, ‘Amit ji said,’ I am filled inside me. ‘

‘There is a condition mine, you will not give me credit for it’
He then revealed that the climax Javed Akhtar wrote and shared, ‘He had never seen the film. He had just placed a condition ‘You will not give me credit for this’ but now, I want to give them credit.’ When asked why Javed did not take credit for this, Renu said, ‘He did this with love and he did not want to snatch anything from the person who wrote the rest of the film.’

Salim Saheb wrote the dialogue for Salman
There were rumors that Salim Khan wrote the dialogues of Salman’s character in the film. Renu confirmed those rumors in this conversation and said, ‘Salim Saheb said’ I will write Salman’s dialogues’. So it was a Salim-Javed cooperation.
