The film’s producer Deepak Mukut has expressed displeasure on this, as he has already announced the sequel in 2024. He says that as a producer, he has the rights of the film and the film will not be made without him.

Sanam Teri Kasam’s producer Deepak Mukut said in a conversation with Bollywood Hungama on the sequel controversy, “I am the producer of the film Sanam Teri Kasam and I have the IP of the film.” So I have the rights to make the sequel, prequel or remake of this film. I announced its sequel with Harshvardhan in September 2024. As far as the directors (Vinay Sapru and Radhika Rao) are concerned, I have not had any discussion with them. He neither met me nor he talked about it. I have not yet decided the director of the film.

Further Deepak Mukut said, it is his job to talk to me and not to do anything else, especially when he is giving an interview about making sequel. I want to repeat that I have the rights of the film.

Sanam Teri Kasam 2 is working on scripting

During the conversation, Deepak Mukut has told that Sanam Teri Kasam 2 is currently in the writing stage. The lead actor of the film will be the actor of the previous film, Harshvardhan Rane, while the actress has not been finalized.
