Actress Sanaya Irani has recently revealed that she had to face casting couch in Bollywood and South. A big director from South had asked Sanaya to wear a bikini during the shoot. However, the actress understood the director’s intentions in time and refused to work with him.
In an interview with Hauterfly, Sanaya was asked about the casting couch. In response, the actress said, ‘Long ago, a person from South wanted to meet me for a film. At that time, I did not want to do films. But that person kept insisting to meet me. Finally, I went to meet him.
After meeting, the man said- I want a healthy actress.
In response I said- then I am not healthy.
Sanaya further said, ‘Many times I feel that people in the industry want to meet so that they can know whether the girl can sleep with them or not.’
The director asked me to wear a bikini
During the conversation, Sanaya shared another anecdote about a big Bollywood director, although she did not reveal the name of the director. The actress said, ‘There was a lot of misunderstanding. I was told that I was auditioning for a music video. But actually it was a film audition.
After knowing the truth I told the secretary – I will not do this.
Then he said- please sir will get angry. Just talk to him once.
I called the director on the secretary’s advice.
When I called, he asked me to call again after half an hour. I called him after 45 minutes instead of half an hour. I called after 45 minutes for convenience, but he got angry at this.
His attitude towards me was very bad. Finally I asked him if we were connected to talk on time.
Then the director said- I am making this big film. There are many big heroes in it and you will have to wear a bikini.
I asked the director, is this my character?
After this he started behaving badly with me, then I disconnected the phone without thinking.
Sanaya has been active in the acting world since 2006
Let us tell you, Sanaya made her acting debut in 2006. She was seen in a cameo role in Aamir Khan and Kajol’s film Fanaa.
Sanaya has also been a part of the famous TV show ‘Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon’.
