New Delhi : The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has instructed to make some changes in Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandana’s awaited film ‘Chhava’. The film is going to be released in theaters on February 14 and during the promotion of the film, it has been revealed that the censor board has recommended some dialogues and changes in the scene.
The biggest change, the censor board’s ban on the word ‘green *****’- CBFC has muted the word “Green ***** used in the film. Its purpose is to simplify the release in theaters. The word was in one of the film, which has now been muted.
Dialogue changes
Some big dialogues of the film have been changed- ‘Mughal Sultanate Ka Poison’ now ‘at that time, many ruler and Sultanate were trying to keep themselves alive’.
The ‘blood is finally the Mughals of the Mughals’, it has been changed to ‘Khoon To Aurang Hi’.
In the film, ‘Jai Bhavani’ has been used instead of the word ‘Amen’. This change has been done keeping in mind religious sentiments.
’16 years’ has been converted into ’14 years’.
’22 -year -old boy ‘has been made a ’24 -year -old boy’.
‘9 years’ has been made ‘many years’.
Changes in scenes and text
The CBFC has instructed the makers of the film to remove the scene showing the Maratha warriors wearing a saree. This change has been made to maintain the historical authenticity of the film.
An audio-text disclaimer will also be added to the film, in which it will be made clear that the purpose of the film is not to defame someone or present wrong historical facts, but it is based on a historical work.

‘Chhava’ was certified by CBFC on 1 February 2025. The film has received the ‘UA 16+’ rating and its certified runTime is 161 minutes and 50 seconds, ie about 2 hours 42 minutes.
