Seaweeds are very beneficial for your skin. That is why it is being used in beauty products for skin care. Nowadays, many types of beauty products containing seaweeds are available in the market, such as powder and cream etc., which are being used to improve the skin. Actually, seaweed is a type of plant that grows in the sea. It can be red, green or brown. Seaweeds are usually attached to roots or other solid structures. They contain elements like vitamin C, potassium, iron, vitamin B12 and choline. The use of these algae can be very beneficial for skin and hair.
Skin repair
Seaweed has antioxidant properties, which play an important role in protecting and repairing the skin from free radical damage. It is especially beneficial for women with sensitive or dry skin. It contains natural anti-inflammatory compounds that help reduce skin redness, irritation, and swelling.

Beauty products containing brown algae extracts have deep moisture retaining properties, which helps keep the skin moisturized. Certain substances derived from algae reduce UVA/UVB-induced skin damage.”
Anti-melanogenic process helps in making the skin glow. Antioxidant Alge is a new antioxidant, which can protect against cell damage caused by reactive species. However, its effect is not yet fully understood. Good research and study is needed to know its true effect, so that its use can be understood properly.
