National Film Awards: The 70th National Film Awards have been given today i.e. on Friday. This year Nithya Menen has received the Best Actress Award for her role in the film Thiruchitramblam. Nithya, who won the Best Actress Award, speaks six languages ​​fluently. She works in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi films and shows. She has also studied journalism and mass communication to become a journalist. But fate had something else in store for her and she came into films.

Nithya Menen was born and raised in Bangalore, Karnataka and she still lives there. Her parents were also born and raised in Bangalore. Her father is a government employee. Nithya received her education from Mount Carmel College, Bangalore. After this, she studied journalism and communication from Manipal University but fate had something else in store for her. Later she had applied for further studies in cinematography, when Nandini Reddy saw her and asked her to be a part of her first Telugu film ‘Ala Modalaindhi’ in the year 2011, which became a blockbuster hit and became famous among the audience.

She has worked in films at the age of 8
Nithya Menon, who has been nominated for the Best Actress of National Film Awards 2024, was offered her first film when she was 8 years old and it was an English film titled ‘Hanuman’ directed by French director and wildlife filmmaker Frederic Faugia. She has acted in more than 50 films as of the year 2020 and continues to work in various industries of Indian cinema. A versatile talent, Nithya has also lent her voice as a playback singer for several films and has also dubbed for the character of Elsa in Telugu for ‘Frozen 2’ in the year 2019. She is also a singer and has done playback singing for several films.

Thiruchitrambalam was written and directed by Mithran R. Jawahar and starred Dhanush, Nithya Menon, Bharathiraja, Prakash Raj, Raashi Khanna and Priya Bhavani Shankar. This is Menon’s first time winning the award.
