Agra’s Shraddha Mishra won the title of singing reality show ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’. Along with this, he also won Rs 10 lakh along with the trophy. Also got a reward of Rs.

In a special conversation with Dainik Bhaskar, Shraddha told that she wants to get her father’s feet treated with this amount. Apart from this, he also dreams of building a music studio. Read some key excerpts from the conversation:

When you participated in this show, did you think that you would stand on the stage and win this trophy?

No, not at all. I never thought that I would stand on this stage and become a winner. Even in my dreams I had never thought that I would win. I thought I would just give my best, do as much as I can. But when I saw myself as the winner, that moment was unbelievable for me. Even today I cannot believe that I have the trophy and that I have won this title.

What was that moment of your first audition like? Was there any memorable incident that happened at that time, which you still remember?

The first audition… that moment was very special for me, but I was very scared. It was not easy to stand and sing in front of such great giants. People like Sachin-Jigar sir, Sachet-Parampara, Guru sir were in front of me. It was natural to be nervous. But I thought that I will sing the way I sing. Didn’t try to do anything different.

I remember, when I gave my performance, Sachet sir gifted me a guitar on which he had composed ‘Bekhayali’. This was like a dream come true for me.

Which was the special moment in this long journey that touched your heart?

There were many moments in this journey which are close to my heart. But the winning moment will always be remembered. Apart from this, when I shared the stage with Guru Sir and sang his song, that moment was also very special for me.

Guru Randhawa sir gave me so much confidence that at that time I was not afraid of anything. And yes, another moment which I can never forget was when Jigar sir announced on TV that I would get a chance to perform in the UK. At that moment I felt that my hard work had paid off.

Where did your musical roots begin? Were you inclined towards music since childhood?

My music started in childhood. I was born in Agra, and did my schooling there also. My grandmother taught me bhajans. I sang bhajan for the first time in school, and my teacher told my mother that this girl should be taught music.

Gradually I started taking it seriously. In seventh class I decided that music would be my life. Then I came to Mumbai. Stayed here alone for two and a half years, and after that mom and dad also came to Mumbai. My first playback song was with Sandesh Shandilya sir. I sang in the film ‘Shikara’, which filmfare Was nominated.

Is there any special plan for the prize money received from this victory?

To tell the truth, I did not know that there would be any prize money. I was just focusing on the trophy. But now that I have received the amount, I have decided to give it to my father. They will invest it properly.

I have a dream to build my own music studio. A space where I can create, compose and express myself completely through music.

Any dream of your parents that you would like to fulfill?

One of my father’s legs has not been good for many years. He feels difficulty in walking. My dream is to help in their treatment. I want his leg to be completely healed and he can walk like before.

Who are those actors or musicians in Bollywood with whom it is your dream to work?

Arijit Singh is my biggest favourite. I met him once, but could not talk to him. His music is very close to my heart.

Also, I am A.R. I want to work with Rahman sir. If I get a chance to work with him, it will be the biggest achievement of my life.

If you get a chance to sing for any actress, who would it be?

Alia Bhatt. I am a big fan of his. His energy and talent inspire me a lot. Getting a chance to sing for him will be very special for me.
