Bangalore -based EV Manufacturer Simple Energy has launched the new electric scooter Simple One S. Its initial ex-showroom price is 1.40 lakh rupees. The company claims that the updated scooter will get an 181km IDC-certified range on full charge.

This is the second and cheapest e-scooter in the company’s one portfolio. It has been introduced instead of dot one, which was an ex-showroom price of 1.46 lakh rupees. Simple Energy recently launched a Jane 1.5 model of Simple One worth Rs 1.66 lakh.

The segment competes with the Sports One S scooter with Sporty Electric Scooters such as Ather 450S, Ola S1 Pro and the recently launched Ultraviolet Tespect. The scooter will be available in 15 simple energy showrooms in Bangalore, Goa, Pune, Vijayawada, Hyderabad, Vizag, Kochi and other cities. The company says it will open 150 new stores and 200 service centers across the country by FY2026.

Design and platform: 6 color options with 12-inch alloy wheels The company has a large extent the specifications of the new simple one S and the dot one scooter. However, one S scooter provides better specifications and features than the dot one. It has telescopic forks and monoshock suspension in the rear.

The electric scooter has a 12-inch alloy wheels, on which there are 90-section tubeless tires. For braking, it has a 200mm front disc and 190mm rear disc brakes with CBS (Combined Braking System). It also has a regional braking for advance safety.

The simple one S weight is about 134 kg and its seat height is 775mm. The scooter has been introduced with a single variant and 4 color options. This includes Namma Red, Brezen Black, Grace White and Ageor Blue. A 35-liter storage is also available under the seat to keep the goods.

Performance: Top Speed ​​105kmph and 181Km range The scooter has a mid -drive permanent magnetic electric motor for performance, which generates 8.5 kW of power and 72Nm torque. Simple energy claims that simple one S electric scooter can achieve speed of 0 to 40 kmph in just 2.55 seconds. Its top speed is 105kmph.

A 3.7kwh battery pack has been given to power the motor in the e-scooter. The company claims that the scooter gives an 181 km range (IDC certified) on full charge. Along with this, many software updates have also been made in the scooter. This scooter of simple energy has four riding mode- eco, ride, dash and sonic.

Features: Tire Pressure Monitoring System and Navigation This simple energy scooter features features like 5G e-SIM, Bluetooth connectivity and 7-inch touchscreen instrument console with Wi-Fi. It offers customizable themes, auto brightness, app integration, turn-by-turn navigation and over-the-air (OTA) updates on the dashboard. This e-scooter also features features like Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Regional Breaking, USB Charging Port, Park Assist and ‘Rapid’ Breaking.
