Mumbai. The festival of Karva Chauth holds a lot of significance among Bollywood celebs. Actresses and their husbands celebrate it very well. Fast is kept for the husband, husbands of some actresses also keep fast. But actress Sonam Kapoor revealed that she does not observe Karva Chauth fast. Sonam revealed on her Instagram stories that she does not follow this tradition of fasting. But she always celebrates this festival with other women in the family.
Sonam Kapoor spent time with her family on Saturday night, applying mehendi and with all the women who were fasting. Sonam along with other women got henna applied on her hands for Karva Chauth. She has also got the names of her son Vayu and husband Anand Ahuja written with Mehndi.
One picture seemed to be reposted and the caption read, “Eve of Karva Chauth… Mehendi applied… Thank you Sunita Kapoor. Sonam Kapoor, your passion, oh my god. Missed you Maheep Kapoor.” A red heart emoji and a tongue sticking out emoji were also included in this caption.
After this, Sonam Kapoor shared a close-up photo of henna applied hands. The photo revealed that she had got Anand’s name written on one wrist and Vayu’s name on the other wrist. After this she shared a photo and wrote, “For your information, let me tell you that I do not fast, but I like to apply henna and eat…” She also included a winking smiley along with her tongue in this caption.
This is not the first time that Sonam Kapoor has revealed that she does not keep fast on the occasion of Karva Chauth. In 2018, when Sonam-Anand were celebrating their first Karva Chauth, Sonam had said, “I hope I will always live my best life with you my love…”
