Japan’s consumer electronics maker Sony has launched PlayStation 5 Pro. It has twice the storage as the PS 5, along with an upgraded GPU, advanced ray-tracing, and artificial intelligence (AI) upscaling technology for better image quality. Along with this, the company has also given information about more than 50 games which have been enhanced for it.

The price of PS 5 Pro is around $700. With this, customers can buy an attachable disk drive for around $80 and a vertical stand for around $30. It has been made available in select markets. It can be purchased in white and black colors. There is also a limited edition gray color option for this. sony Has not given information about its launch date in India. The PS 5 Pro has some upgrades in hardware compared to the PS 5. It has better frame rates and higher resolution. It has AMD Ryzen Zen 2 as its CPU. However, it has better RDNA graphics than the PS 5 with a GPU compute performance of 16.7%.

It has 16 GB of GDDR6 memory and an additional 2 GB of DDR5 RAM for system tasks. PS 5 Pro has 2 TB storage. Sony’s business is growing rapidly in the country. Sony’s consumer electronics business can achieve a revenue of one billion dollars in this financial year. Over the past few years, Sony has diversified its business beyond television.

Earlier this week, a media report quoted Sunil Nayyar, managing director of the company’s unit in the country, as saying that Sony’s revenue could set a record due to a surge in demand for expensive products in consumer electronics. He had said, “In the last two financial years, the company has achieved a growth of about 20 percent in revenue on year-on-year basis. The company is getting strong growth from television as well as audio products, imaging and gaming. The current The company’s annual revenue could exceed one billion dollars in the financial year.” In the last financial year, the company’s revenue in the country was about Rs 7,664 crore (about $90 crore). Television plays a major role in Sony’s revenue. However, the company’s performance in the smartphone business has been weak.
