New Delhi. Rajkumar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor’s film ‘Stree 2: Sarkate Ka Aatank’ has created havoc at the box office. The film has been ruling the box office since its blockbuster opening. Released on the occasion of 15 August, this film of Rajkumar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor has received a tremendous response from the audience. Even after a month of its release, ‘Stree 2’ is firmly standing at the box office.
Yesterday, this film directed by Amar Kaushik broke the box office collection record of ‘Bahubali 2’ in Hindi language and today this low budget film has set a new record. ‘Stree 2’ has also given a tremendous blow to Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Pathan’.
According to the report of Sacnilk, ‘Stree 2’ has earned a whopping Rs 516.25 crore at the ticket window across the country. Last Sunday, the film recorded a collection of Rs 10 crore, with which the total collection reached Rs 527 crore. This collection is more than Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s ‘Pathan’. ‘Pathan’ had earned Rs 524.53.
Along with ‘Stree 2’, Akshay Kumar’s ‘Khel Khel Mein’ was released. This film starring Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu, Vaani Kapoor and many other stars flopped badly at the box office. John Abraham and Sharvari Wagh’s film ‘Veda’ also flopped at the box office. For a long time, ‘Stree 2’ has not faced any competition at the box office. Kangana Ranaut’s controversial film ‘Emergency’ also could not be released on 6 September due to delay in the certificate.
