New Delhi. The murder of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Baba Siddiqui has shaken the people of Bollywood along with politics. Everyone knows that Baba Siddiqui had good relations with Bollywood. Apart from Shahrukh-Salman, Sanjay Dutt was very close to him and his relationship with the Dutt family was years old. People close to Baba Siddiqui say that his relationship with Bollywood started with Sanjay Dutt’s father Sunil Dutt. Both were very close to each other. It is said that Sunil Dutt considered Siddiqui like a son. After his departure, Baba Siddiqui also maintained good relations with Sanjay Dutt and Priya Dutt. The Dutt and Siddiqui families were very close, they often attended Iftar and other family parties together.
It is also said that when Sanjay Dutt was trapped in the Arms Act, Baba Siddiqui personally stood by him in that hour of trouble. Apart from this, when Sanjay’s sister Priya Dutt entered politics, he also helped her a lot. This is the reason why Sanjay Dutt was among the first to reach the hospital as soon as he got information about the murder of the NCP leader. Priya Dutt also went to Lilavati Hospital to see Baba Siddiqui. He wrote on the social media platform X, “I am shocked to hear the news of the tragic death of Baba Siddiqui. Baba was not just a political ally, but he was a member of my family. For my father Baba Siddiqui was like a son and for me he was a brother and a dear friend.”
He further wrote that “He always stood by my father during his political journey and even after that. When I entered politics, he guided me through its ups and downs and gave me his unwavering support. His departure is like the departure of a family member. My heart aches for sister-in-law, Zeeshan and Arshiya. May God give them the strength to bear this immense sorrow. may his soul rest in peace.”
Apart from Dutt family, Siddiqui also had good friendship with Salman and Shahrukh Khan. Baba Siddiqui played an important role in ending the feud that had been going on between the two for many years. Actually, there was a time in Bollywood in the year 2008, when a wall of enmity had arisen between Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan. There was a heated argument between the two superstars at the birthday party of actress Katrina Kaif, after which both the superstars of Hindi cinema did not even like to see each other. Baba Siddiqui used to organize Iftar party every year on Eid in which artists associated with TV, politics, sports and films used to participate. Salman-Shahrukh also used to attend this party every year.
In the year 2013, Baba Siddiqui had organized an Iftar party on the occasion of Eid. Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan were present in this party. In this party, Baba Siddiqui re-established friendship between the two actors. When Salman is meeting everyone in that party, he also extends his hand of friendship towards Shahrukh Khan sitting on the chair. Shahrukh also holds the hand extended by Salman Khan and hugs him. Baba Siddiqui played an important role behind this. Baba Siddiqui had taken both the stars to the party for a talk and ended their years-old enmity.
