Actor’s daughter Ekta Kapoor still dominates the world of films and TV. Ekta Kapoor is among the most successful filmmakers, but when Jitendra decided to become a filmmaker, this decision proved to be very costly for him.
Jitendra, who has given more than 100 superhit films, has been working with filmmaker H.S. He liked Ravel’s work a lot. When the actor saw the film ‘Mere Mehboob’, he had made up his mind at that very moment that he would like director H.S. Will work with Rawail and make a film similar to his. After establishing himself in the industry, like many actors, Jitendra also decided to step into film production.
The film flopped badly
The actor established his banner Tirupati Films along with his brother. He decided that he wanted to invest money in a film like ‘Mere Mehboob’. After a lot of deliberations, Jitendra made the film ‘Deedar-e-Yaar’ with many big stars including Rishi Kapoor, Rekha Ashok Kumar. Everyone had high expectations from this film.
Actor’s dream broken
Jumping Jack Jeetendra had spent money like water for this film, but when ‘Deedar-e-Yaar’ came to the theaters, all his dreams were shattered. This film was completely rejected by the audience and the theaters kept yearning for the audience. The film did so badly at the box office that even its cost could not be recovered. After suffering huge losses, Jitendra swore that he would never try his hand in film production again.
