Mumbai. Kangana Ranaut and R Madhavan to be seen together in ‘Tanu Weds Manu 3’? ‘Tanu Weds Manu’, which released in 2011, proved to be the first superhit film of Anand L Rai’s career. Kangana and R. Madhavan played the lead roles in the film. The sequel of the film – ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ was released in 2015 and it became the first female-led Indian film to have the highest collection in the opening weekend. Fans were eagerly waiting for the announcement of its third part, which Anand L Rai has now confirmed that he will make the third installment.
Anand L Rai, while talking to News18 show, said that the third part of Tanu Weds Manu will be completely different from the first two. The characters will also be completely different. But the story of Tanu and Manu is not over. He will take the franchise forward. He said, “Tanu Weds Manu is such a franchise that people are demanding its third part.”
Anand L Rai further said, “The reason for this is that the characters of the film are very beautiful and Kangana Ranaut and R Madhavan played them beautifully. These characters are bigger than the story. ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ ended well. The story was complete. But the character had to move forward. Because of which we made another story, which was seen in ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’.”
The story of Tanu, Manu and Datto in ‘Tanu Weds Manu 3’
Kangana Ranaut confirmed last year that she will be in ‘Tanu Weds Manu 3’. However, Anand L Rai clarified that the story is not ready yet. He said, “In Tanu Weds Manu Returns, we had brought a new character Datto. These three characters demand a third part. There is a good story about Tanu, Manu and Datto, we will make a story about these three only.”
