Talks are going on with King Khan for ‘Baazigar 2’
According to a report in Times of India, Baazigar producer Ratan Jain has confirmed that he is in discussions with King Khan for the sequel of ‘Baazigar’. Till now the producer has not presented any script or planning. Only the idea of making a sequel has been shared. Shahrukh Khan will once again be in the lead role in this film.
Producers have not reached any conclusion yet
He said, ‘We have talked to Shahrukh for Baazigar 2. No conclusion has been reached yet, but it will definitely be made. The audience is very happy to hear this statement from the producer.
The film was made with a budget of Rs 2 crore.
Producer will work on the script
The producer told that he will bring a good script for this film, so that there is no injustice to the original Baazigar film and the fans also like the sequel. Ratan Jain also told that along with the script, the sequel will also require a new direction.
The film made the makers rich
He made people crazy by playing a negative character in the 1993 film ‘Baazigar’. This was the period when actors used to avoid playing characters like villains. But King Khan had created history by becoming the villain in this film. During that time, this film of Abbas Mustan, made for Rs 2 crores, had made the makers rich by earning Rs 14 crores.
The film proved lucky for Kajol too
‘Baazigar’ was not only beneficial for Shahrukh but it was Kajol’s first film which achieved immense success at the box office. His brilliant performance in the film’s song ‘Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhe’ was greatly appreciated by the audience. After this film, Shahrukh started being recognized as ‘Baazigar’. The dialogues of the film are still on people’s lips. With this film, King Khan received the Filmfare Award for Best Actor for the first time.
