New Delhi: Singer Wajid Khan had amazing courage to look death in the eye. Even though he is not among us today, he is still remembered by everyone because of his songs and passion. People remember her not only because of her voice and music but also because of her relationship with Salman Khan. Wajid Khan lived up to his name, expert in creating something new and unique. The pair of Sajid-Wajid was considered very powerful.
Wajid Khan started with Salman Khan’s film and composed many melodious songs. The first film was ‘Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya’. Composed only one song, but that too was tremendous. The name of the song is- ‘Teri Jawaani Badi Mast-Mast Hai’. Wajid was born on 7 October 1977 in a family of artisans. Father was the famous tabla player Sharafat Ali Khan. My maternal grandfather was also Padma Shri awardee Ustad Faiyaz Ahmed Khan. Music was found in the blood itself.
Was very fond of playing guitar
Wajid Khan composed music for a film for the first time in the year 1998, then composed music for a non-film album. He was very fond of playing the guitar. Brother Sajid often says that Wajid was an introvert, but he had the skill to express his views beautifully and he misses that style. One incident is mentioned a lot. It is said that once as a guitarist he was under the direction of a great musician. His partner played the wrong tune. When the music composer asked, he blamed young Wajid, Wajid did not say anything, but was very disappointed. When he came out, he saw tears in father Sharafat’s eyes also. Sung the first song for Salman Khan
Sajid-Wajid were special to Salman Khan. The first song was also composed for him and while leaving, Wajid also composed the last song for Salman Bhai ‘Bhai Bhai Bhai’. Gave music in many films like ‘Garv’, ‘Tere Naam’, ‘Tumko Na Bhool Payenge’, ‘Partner’ and also in ‘Dabangg’, ‘Dabangg 2’ and ‘Dabangg 3’. Apart from this, Wajid also lent his voice for Salman in ‘Mera Hi Jalwa’, ‘Fevicol Se’ and Akshay Kumar’s song ‘Chinta Ta Chita Chita’.
Died due to cardiac arrest
Wajid married the girl of his choice. It is said that the wall of religion later came in the way and the two separated. Both of them have two children from this marriage. Wajid died on 1 June 2020 due to cardiac arrest. Just a month before this, sister-in-law Lubna had donated a kidney. Wajid was moving forward while battling the illness, but then succumbed to death and this ‘Dabangg’ departed from this world.
