New Delhi: Director and producer Karan Johar’s superhit film has completed 12 years. Karan Johar has shared some unseen pictures from the shoot of the film on the special occasion. Karan Johar has written in the caption accompanying the photos, ‘Let’s start, today is something special. 12 years have passed and I am remembering this film, only so that I can live the best time of my life and that was the best time. In the photos shared by Karan, Alia Bhatt, Siddharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan are also seen along with all the Bollywood stars.

Karan Johar has also shared a group picture with Kajol Devgan, Niranjan Iyengar, Manish Malhotra and Mickey Contractor. Apart from this, he has shared a video, in which he is heard saying that I want to celebrate everything that I like about ‘Student of the Year’. It has the youth, the generation, the enthusiasm, the music, the energy, the comic timing, everything that I have always loved about Hindi cinema and all this is part of ‘Student of the Year’.

‘Student of the Year’ was released in October 2012. Alia, Varun and Siddharth made their Bollywood debut with the film. Karan Johar had taken a big risk by betting on new actors, but all three won everyone’s hearts with their performance. Along with Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Siddharth Malhotra, Rishi Kapoor, Sana Saeed, Ram Kapoor, Farida Jalal, Sahil Anand and Ronit Roy were also seen in lead roles in the film. The film was a hit. After this, Alia worked in many films like ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’, ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’, ‘Kalank’, ‘Raazi’. Recently she was seen in ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’.

Started direction with ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’
Karan Johar made his directorial debut with the romantic-comedy film ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ starring Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukherjee and Kajol. The film also won several awards, including the Filmfare Award for Best Director and Best Screenplay. Recently, Karan Johar celebrated 26 years of ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ and shared stories related to the film.
