The film ‘Kranti’, released in theatres on 6 February 1981, was a historical drama film, produced and directed by Manoj Kumar himself, its story and screenplay was written by Salim-Javed and the film also featured Dilip Kumar, Manoj Kumar, Shashi Kapoor, Shatrughan Sinha along with Hema Malini and Parveen Bobby in lead roles.
