If this film had released at the Indian box office, it would have been the first Pakistani film to release at the box office after almost a decade. According to reports, Fawad’s film was to be released in limited theaters in India.

Let us tell you, ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ was released worldwide in the year 2022 and was a commercial hit. After the Uri terror attack in 2016, Pakistani films and Pakistani artists working in the country were completely banned in India. Many artists also accepted this decision out of respect for the country.

MNS was opposing the release of ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray, in a long post, had objected to the release of ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’. He had written on X that he would not allow the film to be released in Maharashtra under any circumstances. Art has no boundaries, but this will not work in the case of Pakistan. The government should not give permission for the film to be released.
