New Delhi (Utkarsh Awasthi): Singer Udit Narayan, who has created romantic tunes on the big screen with his melodious voice for many Bollywood stars, says that he has sung the song ‘Dil Ne Yeh Kaha Hai Dil Se’ better than Kumar Sanu. When Udit Narayan came to News18 India’s Amrit Ratna Award function, he spoke openly in his first podcast. 69 year old Udit Narayan, who has given his melodious voice in more than 25000 songs in 40 languages, is equally melodious even today. Udit Narayan has sung songs in 40 languages including Hindi, Maithili, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, Odia, Nepali, Bhojpuri, Bengali.
Udit Narayan was the top singer of Bollywood during the 90s. Along with Udit Narayan, Kumar Sanu also remained the choice of Bollywood. Amidst their ongoing rivalry, both of them sang many songs together. Both of them sang the song ‘Dil Ne Yeh Kaha Hai Dil Se’ together in the film ‘Dhadkan’ released in the year 2000. But Udit Narayan feels that he has sung this song better than Kumar Sanu. In his first podcast, Udit Narayan admitted that he had a healthy competition with Kumar Sanu for 5 years.
Song sung better than Kumar Sanu
Udit Narayan said, ‘I was in the heart of Kumar Sanu from the film Aashiqui. I thought that I would rule the industry alone, but competition is also necessary. I did not lose courage and after that till 1995-2004 only one singer was seen and that was Udit Narayan. When this question was asked to Udit Narayan that do you also feel that you sang the song ‘Dil Ne Yeh Kaha Hai Dil Se’ better than Kumar Sanu. So on this Udit Narayan said, ‘I absolutely believe that I sang better, the truth is, it is not that those people sang less, they are absolutely brilliant. But the way I have sung, there is heroism in it, it feels like Akshay Kumar is singing.
Udit Narayan sang many superhit songs
Let us tell you that Udit Narayan and Kumar Sanu have been a part of the Hindi music industry for decades. Both of them have given very good songs. There is also a good friendship between the two. In the 90s, almost every film had the voices of Udit Narayan and Kumar Sanu. Talking about Kumar Sanu, he won the hearts of the audience with his voice in Bollywood films.
