Kia Motors India is preparing to launch SUV Ciros in the Indian market on 19th December. Earlier, a new information about the car has come to light. The new Ciros will have reclining seats at the rear, which can be moved backwards. It will be more comfortable than Kia Sonet.
Kia’s upcoming SUV Cirros will come with a 2-spoke steering wheel, aircraft throttle-like gear shifter, push-button start/stop and dual tone interior theme. The Korean brand has given information about the car by releasing a new teaser.
According to media reports, the company has also started its offline booking at some dealerships. Kia Ciros will be offered with 1.0 turbo-petrol engine and 1.5 diesel engine options. It will be positioned between Sonet and Seltos.
Price can start from Rs 9 lakh According to Autocar India, the price of the car may be announced at the Bharat Mobility Show in January, where the car will be shown to the general public for the first time. Prices for the Ciros could start from Rs 9 lakh (ex-showroom). It is expected that its delivery will be started in the end of January or beginning of February. Currently, there is no direct comparison car in India.
Gear shifter will be available like aircraft throttle Kia has shown a glimpse of the cabin of the Ciros in the new teaser. It features an aircraft throttle-like gear shifter, push-button start/stop, wireless charging pad, a 2-spoke steering wheel with controls for Drive and Terrain modes, and multiple Type-C USB ports.
The car has two switches below the push-button start/stop, which are for parking sensors and 360-degree camera. The teaser also shows a black and gray color theme in the cabin of the Ciros. Apart from this, LED headlight and electric panoramic sunroof are also shown in the new teaser.
Exterior: Has flush doors with LED lighting setup Kia India has also recently shared the teaser of the car on social media platform X. In these, some designing elements of the car have been shown by the company.
The Ciros will have a vertically stacked 3-pod LED headlight, with a long LED DRL on its side. The SUV’s design will also feature large window panels, a flat roof and a sharp kink in the window beltline along with the C-pillar.
According to the teaser sketch, it will get raised wheel arches, shoulder line and flush-fitting door handles. Its exterior design is completed by long roof rails, L-shaped tail light and upright tailgate. 16 inch crystal cut alloy wheels can be found in the car.
Cabin and Features: 10.25 inch digital driver display The cabin of the Ciros can get a dual tone interior theme like the Sonet and Seltos. Below this, a new 10.25 inch digital driver display can be provided on the dashboard. However, according to the recently leaked photo, a new 2-spoke steering wheel will be provided.
Apart from this, there is infotainment touchscreen with 70+ connected car features, ventilated front seats, 4-way power adjustable driver’s seat, 7-speaker Bose audio system, wireless phone charging, in-built air purifier, 360-degree camera and a Features like voice operated sunroof can be provided.
Performance: Multiple engine options will be available like Sonet. For performance, the Ciros can get multiple engine and transmission options like the Sonet. In the entry-level variant, a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with 82bhp power and 115Nm torque can be provided, which will be mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
There will be an option of 1-litre turbo petrol engine with power of 118bhp and torque of 172Nm, which will come with two transmission options, 7-speed dual-clutch automatic and 6-speed clutchless manual.
Apart from this, the third option will also be a 1.5-litre diesel engine with 114bhp power and 250Nm torque, with which the option of 6-speed clutchless manual or 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission will be given.
Safety Features: 17 Autonomous Level-2 features can be found For safety, the Ciros has electronic brake distribution, emergency stop signal, brake assist, electronic stability control (ESC), hill-start assist control (HAC), vehicle stability management (VSM) and antilock brake system (ABS) like the Sonet and Seltos. Features like ) will be available. Apart from this, 6 airbags will be provided as standard in all variants.
Apart from this, 17 autonomous level-2 features can be given in Ciros like Seltos. These include Smart Cruise Control with Stop and Go, Front Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Keep Assist, Rear Blind Spot Collision Avoidance and Autonomous Emergency Braking.
