New Delhi. Shahrukh Khan made his Bollywood debut in 1992 with Divya Bharti and Rishi Kapoor’s film ‘Deewana’. But very few people know that before ‘Deewana’, Shahrukh started his film career with an English telefilm. The 1989 film was written by Arundhati Roy and directed by Pradeep Krishna. In the beginning of this film, Shahrukh showed two scenes where he was seen in the role of a gay.
Shahrukh has been ruling the industry as a superstar since the beginning of his career. But after the film ‘Zero’ flopped in 2018, Shahrukh Khan did not work for four years. Then he started working on new projects. After doing cameos in films like ‘The Zoya Factor’ and ‘Brahmastra’, Shahrukh returned as a hero with ‘Pathan’ after 4 years and made a splash. This year proved to be very lucky for Shahrukh. This year his films earned 1600 crores. But hardly anyone knows that he has also appeared in the role of a gay in a film.
Started with English films, not Hindi
Bollywood’s famous actor Shah Rukh Khan started his career in Hindi cinema in a very simple way. But this actor who started with small roles is today the ‘King of Bollywood’. There was a time in the life of the actor whose star is shining in the present times, when he did not hesitate to experiment with characters. He played many different roles. You will be surprised to know that King Khan actually entered the world of cinema not with a Hindi film, but with a film made in the English language.
DYK– #ShahRukhKhan had a small role in Arundhati Roy’s National Award winning telefilm #InWhichAnnieGivesItThoseOnes (1989)#SRK played a flamboyant guy & barely had 3-4 scenes. I feel even his voice sounded different. Do you agree?
