New Delhi. Famous filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Satya’ is going to be released in theaters again. This film proved to be a turning point in Manoj Bajpayee’s career. In this he was seen in the role of Bhikhu Mhatre. Recently Manoj Bajpayee told how he had mentally prepared to play the iconic role. He also revealed that he was so engrossed in the character that he scared a girl.
In an interview given to Mid Day, Manoj Bajpayee said, ‘I was entering a shop and I had no idea that someone was coming out at that very moment, there was a glass door and I just entered the shop with a bang. I was living like a gangster in my mind because I was always thinking. I was thinking only about Bhikhu Mhatre.
The girl ran away after seeing Manoj Bajpayee
He further said, ‘When I was going inside, I almost collided with a girl who was coming out of the shop. He said excuse me? And I don’t know, but unconsciously I looked at him and then I saw fear in his eyes. We kept looking at each other for about 10 seconds and I could see fear in his eyes. Suddenly she turned and ran away quickly. This was my mental state at that time.
Satya got the role first
Earlier during an interview with PTI, Manoj Bajpayee had revealed that he was to play the title role (Satya), but Ram Gopal Varma changed his mind as he wanted someone with a strong presence to play the role of Satya. . He said, ‘I feel very sad that he thinks he cannot do the character. Now I thank God that he has given me the right role on which I can work. Everyone was very excited about my performance, but I was not sure whether we were doing it right or not. That feeling of uncertainty was always there, because no one in the film industry was making such films.
The film will be released again on this day
