New Delhi. After being absent from the music industry for many years, rapper Honey Singh made a strong comeback. The most popular rapper of the 90s, Honey Singh’s songs have also been a part of many Bollywood films. One of his most explosive songs was ‘Lungi Dance’ from the 2013 film ‘Chennai Express’. This song was presented as a tribute to South superstar Rajinikanth. This song filmed on Deepika Padukone and Shahrukh Khan was a superhit in that era.

Recently Honey Singh talked to Cine Connect about the shooting of this song. While talking, he told that the filmmakers used to call him on the set and keep him in makeup for 12 hours, but none of his scenes were shot.

Used to sit and wait for 12 hours on the set
He says, ‘The funniest moment during the shooting of Lungi Dance was that he called me and made me sit with makeup for 12 hours. This was his plan to make me wait. He thought that this person is very excited to be a part of this shoot, so why not make him wait’.

He further says, ‘I couldn’t understand what was happening because everyone was behaving very well, but they were not taking my shot. You won’t believe it, they finally took my shot and after that they said, ‘Pack up’, so it was the strangest and funniest thing. They were testing my patience.’

The film was a blockbuster
Deepika Padukone and Shahrukh Khan played the lead roles in the film ‘Chennai Express’ directed by Rohit Shetty. This film was a blockbuster as it presented a great combination of action and comedy.
