Incident-1: Woman died due to immersion rod
In November this year, a woman died due to electrocution from an immersion rod in Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh. The woman was putting a rod in the bucket to heat water.

The woman had put her hand in water without turning off the main switch, due to which she died due to electric shock.

- Always enter the water only after switching off and removing the rod from the water.
- Don’t forget to remove the rod from the switchboard after the water is heated.
- Never switch the rod on before putting it in the water.
- Wear rubber slippers and shoes while putting in and taking out switches.
- Always place the immersion rod in a plastic bucket. Keep the bucket in a dry place.
Incident-2: Death of newlywed from geyser
In November this year, a newly married woman in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, was taking bath with a geyser running in the bathroom. Then the geyser exploded. After the blast, the woman was taken to the hospital, where she died.
what was the mistake
The geyser was not installed properly and had not been serviced for a long time.

- Always buy geysers of ISI marked and trusted brands.
- Do not keep the geyser switch on all the time. Switch off immediately after use.
- Keep flammable things like matches, lighters away from the geyser.
- If the geyser is switched off for several months then use it only after servicing.
Incident-3: Elderly woman dies due to room heater
In November this year, the body of an 86-year-old woman was found lying in the bedroom of her house in Meerut. She had slept after turning on the heater in the room.

He switched on the room heater and closed the room. He suffocated due to carbon monoxide gas released from the heater and died.

- Never sleep with the room heater closed and the room heater on.
- Do not place the room heater around paper, wood or flammable things.
- Asthma or respiratory patients should not use room heaters.
- Do not keep the heater on for more than two hours at a time.
Incident-4: Girl injured by pressure cooker
In July this year, an 11-year-old girl was injured in a pressure cooker blast in Shravasti district of Uttar Pradesh. Dal was being cooked in the cooker. When the girl reached to switch off the gas, the cooker suddenly exploded.

The cause of blast in pressure cooker was overheating, whistle being damaged or rubber not being fitted properly.

- Before using, check the rubber, whistle and safety valve of the cooker.
- Never fill the cooker more than 75%.
- If whistle does not come for 5 to 10 minutes then turn off the gas and check it.
- Do not buy a pressure cooker without ISI mark.

Incident-5: 14 people burnt in gas cylinder blast
In March this year, two gas cylinders exploded at a wedding in Patna, the capital of Bihar. About 14 people got burnt in this. Most of them were women and children.

In most of the cases of gas cylinder blast, the reason is lack of proper maintenance. Apart from this, using gas cylinder or pipe even after the expiry date is a major reason for such accidents.

- Always keep the cylinder straight and keep its valve upwards.
- Be sure to check the expiry date written on the cylinder strip.

Incident-6: Girl dies due to mobile charger
A 9-year-old girl died of electrocution in Khammam district of Telangana. The girl was plugging the mobile charger into the socket outlet. A similar incident took place in Bengaluru on July 5, where a 24-year-old student died due to electric shock while charging his mobile phone.

Touching the charger with wet hands, touching the charger output terminal with the tongue, or a cut body part may result in electric shock.

- Always charge the phone with the original charger only. Don’t buy fake chargers.
- While buying a smartphone adapter, look for the double square sign for safety.
- Never use the phone while it is charging.
- Do not use the charging cable if it is broken or damaged.
Incident-7: House caught fire due to power bank
This year, a house caught fire in America after a dog chewed a power bank. Actually the dog had pressed the power bank with its teeth. Meanwhile, suddenly there was a short circuit in the power bank and a fire broke out.

Most power banks are made of lithium-ion batteries, which can explode if overheated or stressed.

- Do not drop or press the power bank.
- Keep the power bank away from small children and pets.

Incident-8: Child dies due to DJ sound
In October this year, a 13-year-old child died due to the loud sound of a DJ in Bhopal. The child was dancing to the DJ who was going for the immersion of Durga idols.

DJ’s voice was 300 times more than human hearing capacity. When this happens, heart beats increase, which increases the risk of heart attack or brain hemorrhage.

- Avoid going to such a place where there is very loud noise.
- Do not stand near loud speakers.
- Use noise cancellation headphones in case of noise.
Incident-9: Cheating by giving job offer on Telegram
In the month of November this year, cyber criminals defrauded a young man of more than Rs 2.45 lakh by creating a fake business group on Telegram in Mohali, Punjab.

The young man believed the job offer from Telegram. The cyber criminal had lured the young man to earn money through Telegram.

- No company in the world provides jobs on Telegram.
- If someone promises a job on Telegram then it is a fraud.
- If someone claims 100% return on investment then it is a fraud.
- If someone is demanding money in the name of providing a job then it is a fraud. Don’t fall into such trap.
Incident-10: Girl dies due to car locking
In November this year, a 3-year-old innocent girl was locked in a car for 4 hours in Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh, due to which she died.
what was the mistake
Oxygen level reduced in the closed car. Gradually the level of carbon dioxide in the car started increasing. Therefore the girl died due to suffocation.

- Take special care if there are children around the car. Children can accidentally lock themselves in the car.
- Do not go shopping leaving children alone in the car.
- Tell children about car safety.
