Triumph Motorcycles has today (29 August) launched the middleweight sports bike Triumph Daytona 660 in the Indian market. The British brand that makes premium bikes has priced it at Rs 9.72 lakh (ex-showroom).
In India, it competes with the Kawasaki Ninja 650 (price- ₹ 7.16 lakh) and Aprilia RS 660 (price- 17.74 lakh). The company introduced the bike in the global market in January this year and recently its booking has also been started.
Performance: 660cc engine with slip and assist clutch
The Triumph Daytona 660 is powered by a 660cc liquid-cooled, in-line 3-cylinder 12 valve engine that produces 94hp of power at 11,250rpm and 69Nm of torque at 8,250rpm. Triumph also states that the bike starts making 80% of its peak torque at 3,150rpm.
The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with slip and assist clutch. The bike gets a 2-way quickshifter and traction control system with 2 riding modes – Rain and Road.
Design: Design inspired from the old model Dayton 675
Triumph had earlier introduced this bike in India as Daytona 675, but stopped manufacturing it due to strict emission norms. Now it has been introduced as Daytona 660. Its front fascia design is an updated version of the old model 675.
The 2024 Triumph Daytona 660 is a premium balanced sports bike designed for both performance and comfort. This gives the bike a better experience on both city ride and track.
The Daytona 660 is offered in three colour combinations – Satin Granite + Satin Jet Black, Carnival Red + Sapphire Black and Snowdonia White + Sapphire Black.
