Hyundai Motor India has launched a new S(O) variant of its popular sub-4 meter SUV Venue in the Indian market. The company has provided electric sunroof in it, which is priced at Rs 9.36 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
This variant is placed between the S and S(O) variants. It has all the features of the Venue S, but due to this one new feature, its price is Rs 25,000 higher. With this, this variant has become the cheapest electric sunroof model of Venue.
Hyundai recently launched the Venue’s sunroof model S(O)+ for Rs 10 lakh. However, the cheapest sub-4 meter car with sunroof feature in India is the Mahindra XUV 3XO. Its MX2 Pro variant comes for Rs 8.99 lakh.
The SUV comes at a starting price of Rs 7.94 lakh
There is no change in the price of other variants of Hyundai Venue. The price of this sub-4 meter SUV is between Rs 7.94 lakh and Rs 13.44 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The car competes with Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, Toyota Urban Cruiser Tiger and Maruti Suzuki F-10.

Hyundai Venue S(O)+ gets 6 airbags for safety
Apart from the sunroof, the new Venue variant gets features like LED projector headlamps with daytime running lamps, an 8-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital instrument cluster. Safety features include 6 airbags, a tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), ESC, HAC and a rear camera.
Hyundai Venue: Engine Specifications
The Venue Night Edition gets two petrol engine options for performance. It has a 1.2-liter Kappa naturally aspirated petrol engine, which generates 82 bhp of power and 114Nm of peak torque. It is tuned with a 5-speed manual gearbox. This engine option is available only in the S(O)+ variant.
Other variants get the option of a 1.0-liter GDI turbocharged petrol engine, which generates 118 bhp of power and 172 Nm of peak torque. For transmission, there is an option of 6-speed IMT or 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox. There is no option of diesel engine in it.
