Vistara is offering in-flight Wi-Fi connectivity on its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft on international flights, becoming the first company to do so. The company has also incorporated it on Airbus A321 Neo aircraft.

Vistara Vistara had introduced standard in-flight Wi-Fi for its Club Vistara members last year. Last week, the airline began offering 20 minutes of standard in-flight Wi-Fi to all international customers traveling on Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner and Airbus A321neo aircraft, a first on Indian airlines.

The in-flight Wi-Fi service, provided by Tata’s Nelco Network Products Limited (NNPL) and operated by Panasonic Avionics Corporation, offers usage on any platform, although the initial offering was limited to messaging apps.

Customers can enhance their Wi-Fi experience by purchasing any of the available plans using Indian credit/debit cards, in addition to internationally issued credit cards. To complete the purchase using Indian credit/debit cards, customers must purchase the plan within 20 minutes of their active session after receiving the transaction OTP on the email address linked to their credit/debit card.

There are several in-flight Wi-Fi plans. The first plan for Club Vistara members, priced at Rs 372.74 / USD 4.95, offers standard unlimited data for messaging apps (WhatsApp, Messenger, iMessage and similar services). Other plans include the Surf plan at Rs 1577.54 / USD 20.95 for content with embedded audio and video streaming such as social media and unlimited data on websites. The Stream plan offers unlimited data streaming on all sites at Rs 2707.04 / USD 35.95.
