The accused told the police that he saw his pictures on TV and YouTube. He was scared. First of all he ran away to Thane. He used to work here sometime. Knew everything about this area. The police started tracking him after seeing the CCTV footage installed at Bandra Railway Station. He was seen at a shop outside Dadar station. He had bought the mobile cover from here.
