What is India’s K-4 Ballistic Missile: Indian Navy has successfully tested a ballistic missile from its nuclear submarine INS Arighaat. The name of the 3,500 km range ballistic missile is K-4. Apart from K-4, India has K-14 SLBM missile, which has a range of 1500 kilometers. The day K-4 comes into service, it will further enhance India’s military capability.

Now let’s talk about the Arighat submarine from which K-4 was tested. Arighat is a nuclear submarine. It was brought in the year 2017. Its upgraded version may be released soon. Arighat was built at the Indian Navy’s Ship Building Center in Visakhapatnam. Its weight is about 60 thousand quintals.

According to media reports, India can target its enemy countries with nuclear missiles through Arighat submarine. The countries which have this capability along with other capabilities to attack the enemy are called Nuclear Triad countries. Such countries can launch missile attacks from under the sea. Pakistan does not yet have such capability, even though it claims to be a nuclear power.
