New Delhi. Amitabh Bachchan and Nana Patekar have worked together in many films, but both have been seen together only once. The film ‘Kohram’, directed by Mehul Kumar, released in 1999, was their first and last film together. Now this pair is going to be seen again on screen after 25 years. This pair is not going to be seen in any film but in KBC i.e. Kaun Banega Crorepati 16. During this time both will also remember old moments.
Nana Patekar will join the show along with Utkarsh Sharma, Simrat Kaur and writer-director Anil Sharma. Sitting on the hot seat, he will mesmerize the audience with his interesting stories and knowledge. During this time he will play for ‘Naam’ Foundation, whose aim is to raise awareness and funds to prevent farmer suicides.
He shared a heart touching moment in the show. He told how he made fun of his name when Amitabh Bachchan became his maternal grandfather. When Shweta gave birth to Navya Nanda. Nana recalled, “We were shooting for the film Kohram (1999) and one day Amit ji came and was distributing sweets to everyone. I asked him, ‘What’s the chance?’ And he said, ‘My daughter has just had a baby, I have become a grandfather!’ So Nana said jokingly – How many years did it take, I am Nana by birth.
Let us tell you that Amitabh Bachchan has three grandchildren. Shweta Bachchan, daughter of Agastya Nanda and Navya Nanda, is the child of Nikhil Nanda. At the same time, Aaradhya Bachchan is the granddaughter of Big B and daughter of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan.
Apart from this, Nana told – One day Amit ji came wearing a very beautiful shirt. When I praised him, Amit ji said that it was from Abhishek. So that evening when Amit ji left, my pack up was a little late. When I went to the vanity after my shot, I saw that shirt hanging there. That shirt is still with me.
On the work front, Nana Patekar will soon be seen in the film ‘Vanvas’. Amitabh Bachchan was seen in the film Kalki 2898 AD. In this film he was seen in the character of ‘Ashwatthama’. Now he will be seen in a Tamil film. The name of the film is ‘Vettaiyan’.
